Meghan DiLuzio is Assistant Professor of Classics at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She is interested in Roman cultural history, including especially religion and women in ancient Rome. Her current project, A Place at the Altar: Priestesses in Republican Rome, argues that priestesses had a vibrant and vivid presence in the life of their community and reveals the ways in which priestly service shaped, and was shaped by, Roman gender roles and gender ideologies.
