publication announcement: Contemplation and Non-Doing (Entangled Religions, special issue)
It is a pleasure to announce the publication of a special issue of the journal Entangled Religions devoted to the topic of ‘Contemplation and Non-Doing’. The articles were published between 2023 and 2026 and were the result of a workshop on this topic held at the Center for Religious Studies (CERES) of the Ruhr University Bochum in September 2021, organized by the “Dzogchen” research project and sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (https://ceres.rub.de/en/research/projects/dzogchen/).
The contributions cover a range of religious traditions, including Dzogchen, Mahāmudrā, Chan, Daoism, Kashmiri Shaivism, Judaism, and Christianity, and were written by the following scholars: David Germano, Gavin Flood, Rob Faesen, Louise Nelstrop, Patrick Benjamin Koch, Henrik H. Sørensen, Louis Komjathy, Dylan Esler, and Jan-Ulrich Sobisch.
