New Term, new Students, new Lecturers

Winter term 2019/20 started with October and this week is the first of lecture period. Undergraduates and graduates alike are choosing their courses while fresh starters have their introductions into the course system as well as more general interoductions in how to study at Ruhr Universtität Bochum.

This term almost 100 students enrolled in the CERES study programmes whether dedicated for undergraduate or graduate students. While the undergraduate programme is offered in German, the M.A. programme main language is English.

Besides the newly enrolled students, CERES also welcome new members of the teaching unit: Both Lilith Aposten and George Warner will offer courses at CERES for the first time. Lilith Apostel's courses focus either on the early history of the Mediterranean or on the Cognitive Science of Religion. George Warner, on the other hand, offers a course together with Dean of Students Jens Schlamelcher on the topic of "Narrative and Storytelling in Islam".
