Directions to CERES

Public transportation

From Bochum Central Station, take the U35 subway toward Hustadt / Ruhr Universität and get off at the final stop, Ruhr University.

Exit the station via the escalators onto the University Bridge, then turn right toward the Campus Centre. Follow the main walkway between the university buildings, then take the stairs on the right down toward the G buildings (Humanities).

Walk to G-Südstraße and follow it to the right. After a few minutes, you will reach the GB building, located on the south side of the G building complex. The walk from the subway station takes about 3–5 minutes. 

By car

The quickest route is via the motorway junction Bochum-Witten, where the autobahns A43 and A44 meet. Take the Bochum-Querenburg / Ruhr-Universität exit and follow the signs to Ruhr University Bochum.

Drive along Universitätsstraße toward the university and take the exit Uni-West. At the roundabout, continue to follow the signs for Uni-West and drive onto the campus.

Then keep to the right and follow Max-Imdahl-Straße, which merges into Weststraße.

For parking lots P12/P13:
Stay on Weststraße and continue following the road toward the designated parking areas. Parking garages P12 and P13 are located west of the central campus axis and are well signposted.

Alternatively:
Turn from Weststraße onto G-Südstraße and follow it to G-Süd-Südstraße, where additional parking is available. The parking lot is located in the immediate vicinity of the G buildings (GA, GB) as well as the Center for Religious Studies (CERES).
