Entangled Antisemitism in an Interconnected World (Empathia³)
CERES Palais, room "Ruhrpott" (4.13)
The Workshop "Entangled Antisemitism in an Interconnected World" will take place from February 25–27, 2025, at the Center for Religious Studies, Ruhr University Bochum. The workshop is part of the joint project EMPATHIA³ which aims to create a basis for enabling, empowering, and strengthening future police officers and teachers in reacting to antisemitism as part of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) grant program "Current Dynamics and Challenges of Antisemitism".
We in the subproject "Historia Magistra Vitae" at CERES are especially interested in the historical dimensions and current forms of antisemitism as well as Jewish responses to Antisemitism.
As many societies become increasingly pluralistic in terms of the religious affiliations and cultural and linguistic backgrounds of its inhabitants, any research must reflect this plurality. Therefore, we are delighted that scholars who are experts for different countries and regions will join the workshop in Bochum.
