Public Talk: Religious Diversity and Migration in Today's Ruhr Area

Public talk given by Prof Volkhard Krech (CERES). The talk is part of the project "Der geteilte Himmel. Reformation und religiöse Vielfalt an Rhein und Ruhr". The talk is in German only.

The talk explores the current situation of religious diversity within the Ruhr area. Whether the conversion of church buildings, the erection of mosques and new temples - the Ruhr area is constant change when it comes to religions. More than 200 religious groups from Churches to small communities live side by side between the rivers Emschers and Ruhr. The talk focusses on the different migration movements that have formed the religious landscape constantly.
