Religious Expatriation

When significant groups of people are moved to exile due to their religious beliefs, consequences affect all parties and areas involved. This workshop aims at providing a comparative understanding of the conditions and developments of such movements.
We will address several questions concerning the effects on the community that receives the emigrants, the void created in the places of origin, and the representations created by the members of the diasporic community of their own spiritual and physical journey.
