This workshop is considered as a sequel to the workshop “Between Borrowing and Taking over: The Problem of “Sinification” and its Implications for a Theory of Religious Contact”. During this workshop we would like to expand our preliminary set of these processing modes, taking into account case studies from other regions and religions. More importantly, we will extend our perspective towards the social and hermeneutic frameworks in which given models of processing thrive.
