Welcome to the 2025/26 winter semester at CERES!

The 2025/26 winter semester at CERES will begin on October 15, 2025 (Wednesday), when lectures start. We warmly welcome all students - both those who are new to the B.A. or M.A. program in Religious Studies and those who are already studying at CERES. 

Important dates for the start of the semester

• Welcome for first-semester B.A. students October 14, 2025, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., on site at CERES in room 0.13.
• Welcome for first-semester M.A. students October 13, 2025, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., hybrid (on site in room 4.13 and online). Students who are already in Germany at the beginning of the semester are asked to participate on site.

We also warmly welcome Prof. Dr. Christoph Sander, who is taking over the new professorship for Digital Humanities and will soon be teaching (the first course is a block seminar towards the end of the semester). His research and teaching will further strengthen the digital perspective on religious studies issues at CERES in the future.
