Carmen Meinert hands over to Anna Neumaier as the new CERES representative on the Women Professors Forum
We would like to thank Carmen Meinert, who, as a founding member of the WPF, served on the Executive Board from 2015 to 2024 and made a significant contribution to the development of the institution. It is a pleasure to announce that Anna Neumaier has now been elected as a representative of CERES on the Executive Board of the Women Professors Forum (WPF) of Ruhr-Universität Bochum as her successor.
The Women Professors Forum was founded in 2015 and is an integral part of the RUB structure. It is committed to promoting female academics at all career levels and pursues the goal of increasing the proportion of women in academic teaching and research. Through measures such as mentoring, further training courses and networking events, the WPF supports women in further developing their academic and leadership skills. The forum is also committed to a gender-equitable personnel policy and the compatibility of career and family, among other things through flexible childcare options and family-friendly structures at RUB.
With the election of the new board, the WPF is continuing its work to promote the academic careers of women and to strengthen the exchange between female researchers across disciplines. We wish them every success!
