Academic Writing Workshop for ECRs: Developing Writing Routines
CERES Palais, room "Ruhrpott" (4.13)
Writing, especially in an academic context, is complex in that it is influenced not only by the topic, but also by the type of text, one's own experiences, and the professional and personal framework conditions (supervisor, general work, and life). The workshop is about developing writing routines or reflecting on existing writing routines and adapting them if necessary. Therefore, three aspects will be addressed:
Preparation: How can I organize myself and my material to begin writing produc-tively?
Feedback: How and where can I get goal-oriented feedback and how can I give it?
Revision: According to which criteria and decisions do I want to revise my text and how?
For all aspects there will be short inputs and sufficient practice and reflection phases.
