There's a lot going on at CERES: New projects, new people, new initiatives. Many colleagues now find it difficult to keep track of things. In addition, in connection with the expanded home office options and hybrid events, less exchange automatically takes place in the hallway, so to speak. We would therefore like to create new opportunities for exchange in order to get to know each other better and to be able to open up new potential for cooperation.
Against this background, on 24.02.2023 we would like to try out a new format: The CERES-Jour+. This is in reference to the old CERES Jour, which used to take place regularly and represented a casual reporting round, which can no longer be implemented due to the large number of people. As the “+” indicates, this format is intended to encompass more than spontaneous reports and, accordingly, take longer. In addition, we would like to hold the upcoming elections for the CERES committees (Directorate, etc.) at the end of the event.
The current draft program envisages starting on Friday, February 24th, at 1:00 p.m. with short presentations from the CERES departments (teaching, knowledge transfer, support for ECRs, administration). Afterwards there will be poster presentations on ongoing projects and initiatives. The committee elections would then start at 4:00 p.m., and the necessary information will also be sent to you separately.
