Metaphern des Alltäglichen

Das Projekt erforscht religiöse Metaphern aus dem semantischen Feld des Alltags. Diese Metaphern kreisen um eine semantische Lücke: die Diskrepanz zwischen dem gewöhnlichen, niederen Charakter der Quelldomäne und den hohen, erhabenen Qualitäten der evozierten göttlichen Sphäre. Metaphern des Alltäglichen antworten damit auf eine Herausforderung des religiösen Diskurses, namentlich die Differenz zwischen Immanenz und Transzendenz, die sie gewagt zu überbrücken suchen. Das Projekt spürt dieser Bildsprache in den Werken von Cusanus und Melanchthon nach, deren religiöse Sprache sich im Dialog mit antiken und biblischen Quellen sowie den Diskursen ihrer Zeit entwickelt.

Kooperation mit dem Cusanus-Institut der Universität Trier

Das Teilprojekt C03 wird in den nächsten Jahren mit dem Institut für Cusanus-Forschung an der Universität und Theologischen Fakultät Trier kooperieren.
