During the first half of the session, G. Espesset will briefly introduce the terminology of sensory organs and perceptions in pre-modern China, outline how Taoist and Buddhist doctrines used this terminology, then lead us through a reading of translated excerpts from texts in the Taoist and Buddhist canons.
