DESCRIPTION:As part of the Year of Science 2023\, a book reading for child
 ren will take place on Thursday\, June 29\, 2023 from 2 - 3 p.m. at the Ch
 ristuskirche\, Platz des europäischen Versprechens 1 in 44787 Bochum\, Ge
 rmany. \n\nThe Center for Religious Studies (CERES) of the RUB invites to
  listen to the voices of children's book authors* and learn "how the stars
  came to the sky". The half-hour reading followed by a handicraft activity
  is suitable for children in grades 4 and up.\n\nThe subject is the questi
 on: How did the world actually come into being? The storybook "How the Sta
 rs Came into the Sky" follows brother and sister Dina and Mika as they ask
  themselves important questions one evening: Why is there day and night? H
 ow did humans and animals come into being? To find answers\, they embark w
 ith their father on an enchanting journey to different cultures and religi
 ons. \n\nA special highlight: the "Mars Finds a City" project brings the 
 Red Planet to Earth: seven meters in diameter\, printed with original NASA
  photographs\, the Red Planet travels in orbit through nine science cities
  in Germany as a work by British artist Luke Jerram. In Bochum\, Mars will
  make a stop at the "Christuskirche - Church of Cultures" in the city cent
 er from June 27 to July 13\, and will thus also be on display during the r
 eading at the Christuskirche.\n\nRegistration is not required. Admission i
