to explore\, discuss\, and analyze the ongoing path of women in leadership
in the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement in Ghana The main intent of my re
search is to systematically analyze the stance taken by both the Ghanaian
classical and neo-Pentecostal/Charismatic traditions on women in ministry
and leadership roles. In addition\, I will point out parallels between the
se two traditions of women’s leadership and how the leadership roles of
women have evolved over the years. I will then attempt to answer the quest
ion of whether the different viewpoints are conditioned by culturally embe
dded societal male hegemony. My work also seeks to dissect the Ghanaian so
cio-cultural atmosphere and belief systems\, and its direct effects on the
ability of women to climb the leadership ladder. Another important aspect
is to present notable evidence of women’s achievement in ministerial an
 d leadership offices.
