 involved.  This workshop aims at providing a comparative understanding of 
 the  conditions and developments of such movements.  We will address sever
 al questions concerning the effects on the  community that receives the em
 igrants\, the void created in the places of  origin\, and the representati
 ons created by the members of the diasporic  community of their own spirit
 ual and physical journey.
