DESCRIPTION:Angelina Yeboah Lartey\n\n"Pentecostal/Charismatic Movement in
Ghana: The Trajectory of Women in Ministerial Leadership"\n\nABSTRACT\n\n
At the dawn of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movement in Ghana in the ea
rly 20th century\, the path of women’s roles and leadership took a diffe
rent turn. Women were no longer invisible but in the limelight and steered
affairs. My PhD study explores\, discusses\, and analyses women’s ongoi
ng leadership pathways in Ghana’s Pentecostal/Charismatic movement. The
Pentecostal/Charismatic movement has witnessed remarkable growth and influ
ence in Ghana over the past few decades\, and my research focuses specific
ally on the role of women within this religious landscape.\n\nThrough an e
xamination of historical developments\, religious perspectives\, and socie
tal factors\, I seek to shed light on the changing dynamics and challenges
faced by women seeking leadership positions within Pentecostal/Charismati
c churches in Ghana. In my presentation\, I explore the factors that have
facilitated or hindered their rise to ministerial leadership and examine t
hese developments' impact on Ghana's larger socio-religious fabric. By ana
lyzing empirical data and engaging with existing literature\, the research
contributes to a better understanding of the gender dynamics and power st
ructures within Ghana’s Pentecostal/Charismatic movement in Ghana\, ulti
mately aiming to promote gender equality and inclusivity in religious lead
 ership.\n\n \n\n \n\n
