 (MHPC) \nunder the Auspices of the European Association of Jewish Studies 
   organized by Dr. Joachim Yeshaya (Ruhr-Universität Bochum) with the   s
 upport of Prof. Elisabeth Hollender (Ruhr-Universität Bochum) and Prof.  
  Wout Jac. van Bekkum (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen).\nAfter five successfu
 l earlier meetings (Oxford 2000\, Granada 2002\,   Aix-en-Provence 2004\, 
 Boston 2006\, and Groningen 2008)\, the sixth   edition of the Internation
 al Medieval Hebrew Poetry Colloquium (MHPC)   will be held in Bochum\, Ger
 many\, from 18 July (10 a.m. ) until 20 July   (4 p.m.) 2011.\nApproximate
 ly 20 scholars of medieval Hebrew poetry convene to   present their resear
 ch and to discuss any topic relating to the field of   medieval Hebrew poe
 try\, including liturgical poetry. The organizers  are  particularly curio
 us to hear about new projects and recent research   developments. Hoping t
 o stress the unity of the field in all its   diversity\, the participants 
 of the different sessions are stimulated to   present their research on th
 e basis of samples of poetical texts as a   tool for analysis and joint di
 scussion.\nCertain overarching research topics will be the subject of text
 ual   workshops and special debate sessions in the MHPC program\, e.g. the
    centrality of the Spanish contribution to Hebrew poetry\, intertextuali
 ty   issues etc.\nA preliminary program will be posted in May.\nFor furthe
